“The brewmaster’s goal: the perfect ale for summertime quaffing, nothing more. Breck Brew’s SummerBright is the result. The craftsman’s touch combines white wheat, two row pale and munich malt with the pacific northwest’s most intriguing hops to create a bright, clean ale ideal for picnicking, evenings on the screen porch and enjoying the whims of the summer breeze.” from Breckenridge
All in all They get points for using “quaffing” in their blurb, but not for much else. However, I have found a great place for this beer….this is a perfect shower beer. You know, when you want to take a shower but don’t want to give up the beer in hand so you just enjoy both at the same time? Shower beer. Whaddya mean you haven’t tried it? You need to get on that. There are a few things that are perfect after a long, frustrating week…
1. A nap
2. Grilling and a few beers enjoyed outside with friends
3. A nap after a beer
4. A shower beer
Recommend to a friend? If you want something with a little bit of a lemon/orange hint, I would recommend Leinenkugel’s Sunset Wheat instead of this. One of the gentlemen working at the liquor store said he liked it (the Sunset Wheat) because “it tastes like Fruity Pebbles.”
Safe for lightweights? 4.5% totally a-okay
Labeling? That sun kind of gives me the creepy chills.
Plus one? Yup. I wouldn’t say I’d buy several just for kicks, but with a super low alcohol percentage I’d enjoy more than one of these if they were around.
